Tough to watch that beautiful hair fall out! Exactly 14 days after that first drop of Cisplatinum. Strong chemothrapy drugs have harsh effects, but Boy did they shrink that tumor!
Molly's favorite spot, in Dad's arms. Looking a little glum from the chemo, but always dressed up in her favorite outfits, my hair (head) bows, & my nook!
Our Favorite Clinic Nurse, Laurie. Mikey had a little crush on Laurie all through the treatment!
Billy brought home the Chicken Pox right before my big surgery! Mosty of them landed on Molly's head. Fate would have it that we had to switch surgeons and Dr. Schmeling completely removed her tumor 2 weeks later.

We always had our faithful group to Pray before each Chemo. Aunt Liz, Pam and Monica, Molly and I, & Gramdma and Grandpa Hollway. (Grandpa was still Coaching the Vikings at the time.) Sister "Sugar" Jeanne Prayed for Molly too! She was facinated by Sister's big Cross! Christmas on Chemo. 12-93 Molly loved her fusia coat from cousin , Hannah, and Gramma Boyer always there to take care of Molly! Christmas at Gramma Boyer's with Billy, 5, Gramma ?, Molly 16 months, Grandpa, 40, and Mikey, 3 1/2. December 25th 1993
Molly and her best friend from Children's , McKayla Reuer. McKayla always called Molly her hero, she even won a literary contest writing a story about Molly! She had a very bad cancer, Heptocellular Carcinoma and they just couldn't kill all the Cancer. Mckayla died in her mommy's arms at age 12, and now is an Angel in Heaven watching over us! How lucky we are to have known her! Visiting MacKayla again!!
Our favorite Hospital Nurse, Joni! Note Molly's Barney P.J's and my St. Jude Medals. She also wore a Father Solinus Casey medal from our cousins in Michigan. Father Casey is up for Sainthood. He cared for the sick and he watched over Molly. She never took off my medals through out treatment. They even stayed on her clothes during surgery. The medals helped everyone remember all those faithful friends who constantly prayed for Molly!
A well dressed gal is a happy gal. Molly's doctor, Susan Sensor, kept this picture of Molly on her wall. I think she liked her boots!
This is a Radiation Machine. Molly had radiation to the site of my tumor to kill any cells that may have slipped by the Chemo. She slept through the whole procedure.
This is Molly's Radiation Spot. She had to wear an X on my tummy for 2 weeks Yuck!
Molly had lots of Visitors during my Hospital Stay. Uncle John came all the way from New York City to see us. Molly was a little under the weather though.
Cousin Carl liked to pretend he had a Hickman too!
Molly made it to the Finish Line! Dr. Sensor is in the background letting her go! After 5 rounds of chemo, surgery to remove my tumor, Radiation therapy, "3" grueling Consolidation Chemos and 6 months of Accutane...Molly was off on her own.
The Boys were really Happy too!
My Great Aunt, Sister "Sugar" Jeanne Charolette was Happy too. She had all the Visitation Nuns throughout the Country praying for me. Here is Molly at age 10.
We still visit Joni and we exchange Cards each Chrisatmas. She was very Happy too! Here is Molly at Pre-School. The pretty lady behind her is Susie Buie. The star above her head is her son Ian, who lost his battle to Neuroblastoma when he was 2. Today Molly dances and plays Hockey.
